1975
Fixfast is founded by Alleyn Lynes
The Fixfast partnership was formed and commenced trading as a distributor for The British Screw Co. The partnership was at first named as Domestic Bulk Supplies (DBS) which actually commenced trading in 1964 and consisted of Alleyn & Sheila Lynes.
1976
Mount Yard, Dorking
Purchased premises at Mount Yard, Dorking – a small timber framed unit clad with corrugated steel sheets in the one way system within the town.
Our first product directory
Created with a hand drawn cover, our first product brochure was distributed by hand to our small customer base.
1991
The first launch of our DrillFast® and MatchFast® ranges
We began designing our own ranges of fasteners - manufactured for us by members of our global supply chain.
2011
A move to new, larger premises
Having outgrown our premises in Surrey, we moved to new company headquarters in Sevenoaks, Kent. This new location enabled us to start serving a wider base of customers with reliable products & support - the business may have grown, but our focus has always stayed the same.
2014
We took our product range online
For the first time, you could order products online through our website. Through our new online presence, we could now reach a bigger customer base - extending across the UK and Europe.
2016
First CE certified products
We achieved CE marking for our SureFast ® range in May 2016. Today we hold CE & UKCA marking for our DrillFast and MatchFast ranges too.
What you buy from us is quality assured - and our journey of gaining certifications is just to underline that promise.
2020
Proved in 2020
During an unprecedented world pandemic, we celebrated our 45th anniversary. Although we couldn't celebrate as planned, it did give us an opportunity to reflect.
Not only a nod to the past and our beginnings, but also a glimpse to the future and what the years ahead hold.
2021
We brought fastener manufacturing back to British soil
We unveiled our state-of-the-art manufacturing & R&D facility in an industry-first move, bringing manufacturing to the heart of Kent.
Using technology and processes seen in the automotive and medical industries, we built an autonomous digital first manufacturing line.
2022
Our full service capabilities went online
Complementing our now established online store, we introduced functionality to allow our customers to manage their account online - enhancing our industry leading service and meeting the expectations of the current market.
2024
EcoVardis Gold
Fixfast was first awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Gold Medal for sustainability, placing us in the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide for environmental, ethical, and social performance. This achievement underscores our commitment to industry-leading ESG standards and ensures our partners can rely on the highest ethical practices across our entire operation. We were awarded Gold again in Feb 2026!
2025
Relocation to Unit 6, Click Aylesford
To support our continued growth, we relocated to a state-of-the-art 80,000 sq ft headquarters in Aylesford. This expansion scales our manufacturing power and reinforces our commitment to delivering Confidence in every Connection at a larger scale than ever before.

UKAS Accredited Lab
Achievement of UKAS accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 for our in-house laboratory—solidifying our commitment to technical competence and providing independently verified Confidence in every Connection.

We have a full range of projects in flight to improve every aspect of the business.
