Stainless steel fastener for fixing single skin sheeting.
Suitable for fixing multiple layers of steel up to 6mm thick.
Can be also used in general purpose applications e.g. fixing aluminium.
Features & Benefits
- Genuine A2 grade stainless steel
- Supplied pre-assembled with an Aluminium / EPDM rubber 29mm diameter sealing washer, normally used for fastening rooflights. Hexagon head rooflight fasteners should always be capped with a red hex colour cap
Application
- For mechanically fixing metal sheeting systems up to 5mm thickness metal purlins and rails
- For mechanically fixing multiple components of steel, aluminium and metal framing systems where the combination is a maximum of 6mm thickness

| Correct installation | Fasteners should be driven within three degrees of perpendicular to the surface of the fastened material. Use a depth-setting nosepiece to avoid over-driving, and do not over-tighten. Variants with bonded washers should not have the rubber compressed to less than two-thirds of its uncompressed height. Care should be taken when engaging and disengaging from the fastener head to avoid damage to the protective coating. |
| Handling | Fasteners may have sharp edges, and the use of power tools can be dangerous. Use personal protective equipment. Store fasteners in dry conditions. Inspect each fastener before use and do not use damaged fasteners. |
